Apply for a taxi permit and establish a company for your taxi business. To be able to practise person transport you need a taxi license (permit) or a license for transporting goods, according to Liikennepalvelulaki 1§

Step 2

Get necessary insurance for your business. Running a business requires responsibility and being prepared for damage. That's why it's good to be aware and to find out what kind of obligations professional activities require. An essential part is insurance. Pension insurance, insurance of operations, insurance of the vehicle and transported items must be arranged.

Step 3

Decide on what kind of vehicle you intend to drive.

According to the taxi, passenger and goods transport permit, the service provider must ensure that the vehicle is registered in the Vehicle Traffic Register (mentioned in law 541/2003) where purpose of use is declared. See in more detail on Traficom's website under "Vehicles used in taxi traffic"
